What Is the Fee for Renewing Registration?
Frequently Asked Questions on Registration Renewal
This year, LPNs on the general and provisional registers will pay $350 for their registration renewal if they renew between September 8 and October 31. This fee has been the same since 2012.
The fee for renewing from November 1 to November 30 is $550. Last year, only 6% of LPNs renewed for the higher fee.
Note that Alberta LPNs are required to obtain and pay for professional liability insurance that meets the minimum requirements established by CLPNA Bylaws.
Pre-Authorized Debit Plans
The Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) plan is a CLPNA pre-payment option that allows registrants to pay the following year’s registration fee in advance using automatic withdrawal from their bank account on a monthly basis. Note that PAD plan sign up is closed during registration renewal.
» Registration Renewal Is Still Required for PAD Subscribers
PAD subscribers are still subject to the $200 registration levy if they complete their renewal form after the fee increase deadline on October 31.
